Ylang Ylang Oil Application
Aromatically
You can diffuse ylang ylang oil throughout your home, office, or any space you inhabit. You can also directly inhale the scent out of the bottle or in a spray form.
Topically
Our favorite way to use ylang ylang is with one of our all-natural body and room sprays, but you can also make a concoction for yourself at home!
Be sure to dilute the ylang ylang oil with a 1:1 ratio of the oil + a carrier oil (such as coconut oil) and apply directly to your skin. Be sure to test the essential oil / carrier oil solution on a small portion of your skin prior to topically applying it to a large area of your skin to be certain you are not sensitive or allergic to the oil.
Ylang ylang oil is not intended to be injected into your eyes, ears or nose. This oil is not recommended for pets.
Internally
Some people also believe in ingesting the oils internally. This is a controversial topic, so if you aren't comfortable ingesting essential oils, you can skip over this section. If this is something of interest to you, you will want to check with your doctor. They will likely recommend that you are 100% that you are using a very high-quality oil brand when ingesting any essential oil internally.
It is important to only use 100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils if you are planning on ingesting them internally. Purchasing ylang ylang complete or extra is the safest way to go when buying the oil you plan to ingest internally.
